Buying & Selling Property

We don’t cut corners and we don’t allow non-solicitors to run your conveyance. Buying or selling a residential property can be one of the most significant transactions that most people will undertake.

Chris Trevor & Associates offers a full, quality service to its conveyancing clients. While some administrative tasks involved in conveyancing, it is not as straight forward a process as is often thought; there is solicitor input at every stage of the process.

Why risk your most important investment for the sake of a few dollars? We strike a balance to ensure our lawyers protect our clients’ interests, while at the same time, providing a competitive service.

Estate Planning

None of us like to think about what will happen when we pass away, but by planning ahead you can help make sure that your wishes are carried out.

Your estate is made up of what you own and could include your home, investments, savings and cheque accounts, car and furniture. Basically, any assets you want to pass on to people, charities or other organisations could potentially be included as part of your estate. Superannuation and insurance proceeds are not automatically part of your estate, so these assets require extra planning.

Wills & Powers of Attorney

We look after new wills for individuals or couples, updating existing wills after a life event or drafting a codicil.

You may also wish to put an Enduring Power of Attorney in place when you draft your will or a General Power of Attorney for a single event like travelling overseas.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

Have you have been injured in a motor vehicle accident, truck accident, bus accident, motor cycle accident, boating accident, bicycle, train, or even as a pedestrian? You will be entitled if it was not your fault to a claim for compensation arising from your accident for your injuries

Please note that the laws governing compensation for motor accidents fall under the Compulsory Third Party Insurance Scheme or possibly the Nominal Defendant where a party at fault cannot be identified. These laws will compensate you for your personal injuries, loss and damages and does not personally cause any financial loss to the person that caused the accident.
